ASA Bales Park Gets a Makeover

The playground at ASA Bales Park received a significant makeover with help from the Westfield Middle School students. The previous playground "saw a bunch of kids come and write on it with sharpies or carve in it with knives," said Westfield Parks and Rec Director Chris McConnell. McConnell had an idea after only having three people, which were student council delegates, show up to a public meeting. Who better to design a playground than the kids playing on it?
